When viewing the future availability, there is not a way to view the minimum stay or if it is closed to arrival.

Excellent idea Clint! This enhancement will be part of a total re-design of Rates Management that is currently under development. Stay tuned for more details
A forecasting report to work in conjunction with the built in "cleaning schedule" so total stay over and check out cleaning services can be predicted. This will allow for true mid week cleanings and towels services. This will also allow for better scheduling of housekeeping staff.
When switching room numbers and/or room type, have the system prompt an option to "overide rate change". This will allow clerks to make room changes for guests with promo rates and/ or who have booked prior to rate increases, without being forced to change the rate and have to return to the guest info screen to override the rate again.

The occupancy forecast does pull any information from the cleaning schedule, so your comment is moot. What I am proposing is a simple report that will simply list how many rooms will need stay over service or check out service for a given date range. The occupancy report will not tell you this, it simply tells you how many stay overs you have. Most of the extended stays just have a preset cleaning schedule for their rooms that does not take into account when the guest checks in. So, for the guest that checks in on the day that room is scheduled, guess what he does not get for his 6 night stay. The capability is already there, I just want a report to utilize it.

Quite the contrary, it's better than anything else available. You will be about to use the group reporting to forecast and track your meeting room sales through the PMS. As far as tracking, as long as you set up a tracking code for your meeting room, it will have no bearing on creating a false sense of booked groups. I've done this for over 6 years through Profit Manager with awesome success.

Arrival and departure dates are already on the reports. What value would it offer in a day to day aspect? There are already LOS reports.

You already can. Make a group reservation, post your charges in the folio....print. Remember, you don't have to block any rooms or make any reservations for a group to be active. Hope this helps

How about longer periods, say an hour?

Thank you for bringing this up. I can't beleive this was not thought of before it was released!

Before voting down, please know that if your property is currently using a manual/ predetermined cleaning schedule, this will have no effect on you. This will allow properties with high demands to better manage their housekeeping departments through forecasting while offering the guest better service. This is a win-win situation for everyone.
