The ability to Correct off an Adjustment made the same day

In the event you accidentally adjust the wrong amount, an ability to make a correction so that the guest does not see your error and you can readjust the right amount

It appears in reading thru the comments that the majority of the concern you are trying to address is providing the guests with a "clean" folio. If correct, would simple allowing to select item to be printed solve your problems? This would also allow you to maintain your audit trail.

Guests should not see any mistakes made on their bill. They should have a clean bill without all the adjustments & corrections showing. We should be able to transfer those errors out of the follow or select what we want to print - the same as Profit MAnager.

YES!! It can be tricky when doing manual postings and if they are messed up, then the folio will look confusing to the guest.

Yes. It is frustrating when someone makes a minor error a then tries to correct it. Makes the folio very messy.

I've found a way to clean it up. Create another folio view. I usually call it Correction Folio, and transfer all the correction to it. Cleans up the primary folio view.

Agree, the folio should only have charges and payments. The corrections, adjustments and other messes should be in the shift logs.

This is by far the best idea on this list. It is very easy for someone to make a mistake when posting manually, but many times it is not so easy to explain to a guest a series of postings,adjusments,etc. Making it so a transaction can simply be corrected would make things not only easier for the clerk, but also make things easier for the guest. The folios should not look like such a mess when they are presented to a guest.

I agree, folio should be clean, but at the same time we have to log every folio releated activity in log file.

I agree 100% !! Afterall, we are human and I myself have a made a mistake or two in my lifetime :P I agree the guest should be given a clean folio. Makes us look more professional too :)

Normally I create new folio and move all items corrected including original entries in new folio i.e folio 1 and 2 keep only clean entries in first folio for guest and print folio for guest

I agree with the moderator comment. Simply adding the option of "Printing Selected" like we had in PM would make the process SO much easier.

Whenever a guests folio gets a little too messy, I find they're usually more satisfied with a 'summary only' receipt, found under print options.
