CA is a real time Application, I agree it should have time stamp and userid for each time a User make changes. A look at how CheckInn (PMS from InnSoft) logs shifts' activites will be very helpful. The View Changes Tab is some what hepful, but very cunfusing and not in one log.
This would be a great help in tracking down what a trainee is doing on their shift. Having this list and then going over it with them at the end of their shift would cut down on mistakes they've made that day and lower the chances of them repeating their mistakes because they "Were never taught that."
CA has a similar feature. If you come across a folio that has mistakes and you need to find out who did it all you have to do is go to reservation information screen where you can look at the guest information and click view changes. But i did enjoy PM because it was much more detailed.
I have to agree that PM had a much better system for the User Activity log. It was much easier to understand and follow activity than is the system that CA uses now.
In CA when you view changes, it is not clear who did what. My GM and I were looking at the view changes screen the other day and where I had just been looking to seen what had happened so I could run the audit, it showed that I had made changes that I had not. I had onoy looked to see what changes had been made.
I agree. The view changes in choice advantage DO not show me the details I need to see...Need like PM, all the details, when res was made, who canceled when so on and so forth.
