CHANGING PAST GUEST CREDIT SETTLEMENT PAYMENT
Authorized users, such as General Managers, should be allowed to credit a guest back money or discounts to a different card.
Example:
If a guest checks in and uses a visa and 30 days later they call back and notice a problem on their bill and the card needs to be adjusted , however the guest has gotton rid of the visal, and would like the credit to be adjusted to a different credit card. Authorized users should be allow to make these changes.

WHEN WE USE PHONE NUMBER TO FIND GUEST, WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEE THE NOTES THAT ARE LEFT IN THE SYSTEM WHEN THEY STAYED IN PAST AT THE SAME HOTEL. SO WE CAN SEE WHAT GUEST HAD SAID OR DONE, ANY REQUEST THEY HAD IN THE PAST. RIGHT NOW WHEN YOU USE PHONE NUMBER TO FIND THE GUEST ALL YOU CAN SEE IS THERE NAME AND ADDRESS. NOTE SECTION IS EMPTY.

Print 2 copies at check-ou!!

It would be easier if 2 copies of the folio were printed, while we check out, one for us , one for the guest for his record, without missing with printer configuration, or going trough a long process like go to: Today's Checked Out Guests List,look for the folio some times the guest is in a hurry ...its just not good

Logging in Company Names for Guests
I would like to be able to log in a Company Name with a Guest. This would allow tracking for # of nights, even though the guest does not currently have a direct bill account.

Credit Card Denied
The system shouldn't allow the reservation or walk in be checked in. Currectly is will show the cc declined but stills checks them in. If the FD was busy they may not catch it.

Out of Order
Be able to put in multible rooms in Out of order at one time. Currenlty you have to put them in one at a time. If you are doing in deep clean ect it takes a good 5 min to put them in.

Move guest to new room on same day as check out
Ability to move a guest to a different room after the audit even though they are due to check out on the same day. At times the guest will have a problem with a room at 3am, but they are not checking out until 11am. In order to move that guest you currently must extend the stay in order to move the guest. This makes it very frustrating for the night auditor and front desk staff. Especially if the next day has no available rooms.

Choice Privileges Number
It would be nice that when a guest comes in and says they have a cp # but not with them... that we as the GSA should have a way to look up that number for them instead of having to call and ask the choice privileges people for it

Quick pick up of groups
Provide a way that when you push quick pick-up that it will populate the right things needed for the reservation such as address, city, state, zip, and phone number.

Group Check-In/Check-out
It would be nice to provide a way to check groups in all at once and check them out all at once for the groups that are on a bus and just leave together... It is such a pain being in an area that has many group buses that come through to have to check in 50 rooms one at a time and then check them out one at a time

when you have 2 double beds and a pull out sofa, you still can not book the room with more than 4 persons. this is not accurate. we need to be able to say 4 adults and 2 children or whatever so we know for truth how many people are in house and what food supply we need. you need to allow us put in more than four

Room Number / Guest Nmae Search "F" function key

It would be great to have a "F" function key that would give a screen where you can input a room number and/or a guest name so you can go straight to that room/guest file; and or search for an in house guest by name. The name feature should allow you to search by the first 2 to 3 letters when you are uncertain of how to spell the guest name.

Dynamic Guarantee/Cancellation Policy Screen

It would be beneficial to every property with a cancellation policy (which I believe to be most of them) to have the Guarantee screen update once the cancellation deadline has passed. Have it say something to the effect of "the deadline to change or cancel this reservation has passed, so you are responsible for the first night's charges." Some GSRs are blockheads who can't put two and two together when it's now 8pm on the day of arrival and they're telling the guest that they have until 4pm to cancel.

Group Cancellation Policies
We should be able to have different cancellation policies for groups then our regular guests. Right now my groups have the same policy as my regular guests so I (GM) have to deal with each group guest to let them know that their cancellation policy is different and e-mail separately instead of using the ChoiceAdvantage function.

User Email
I would love to see ChoiceAdvantage offer an "email" for active users. Our hotel currently uses a journal to log all past guest issues or important notes, this would be great if it was in ChoiceAdvantage so that when you log in you can view any messages sent from other fdc or the gm at your hotel.

direct bill accounts

some times a person comes in after the night audit. NOw the date of his or her arrival is different then you have to post a room charge. When you do a direct bill they want the correct dates or they do not want to pay. They say it has to match. We need a way to go back to the no show and be able to back date it after the audit within 24 hrs.

Corporate Lodging Card Swipe

It would be nice if we could incorporate the credit card swipe to include Corporate Lodging cards. This would eliminate many extra steps and leave less room for error since we have to currently check them in and out of 2 separate systems.

Choice Central User Admin

Currently when you enter user admin you can choose to view ALL users. This a a great option but it would be great if there was a way once the employee is terminated or no longer active to be sent to an "inactive" account. Currently we have to scroll through every employee who has ever had a username to find the one at the very bottom, in most cases, that is still active.

FDA secrity for REPORTS View
Front desk should be able to view and print Accounting report "Hotel Journal Summary" without asigning authorization to "Managers Report" which includs all finacial report that FDA does not need. We use "Hotel Journal Summary" as a part of check off list to make sure credit cards are all balanced for the day. Currently FDA is able to view and print "Hotel Journal Detail" and "Shift Reconciliation" so why not "Hotel Journal Summary" be included.

More Account Access with Less Buttons to Click.....
As a Night Auditor I peruse each In-House guest account every evening. The number of "clicks" and pages needed to go into an account is so Cumbersome and Unnecessary. Why should I have to go to 2 or 3 different account pages, which each have different access/duty buttons, to get the basic info that I regularly need?!
There should be access to all guest info on 1 account page where I can see registration, billing, folio etc. and have access to adjust, add charges, change a reservation etc. with all the necessary buttons being available on any and every account page (without having to go from one account page to another to perform different tasks.) The best and shortest amount of time on any task is what constitues EFFICIENCY.
Additionally, I should be able to have a next room/account button available within the guest account inorder to be able to perform the same tasks on multiple accounts without having to go back & forth to the "In-House" page.

Less , Yet more productive upgrades.
Upgrades have caused more problems and delays than any "Supposed" benefits that they are supposed to offer! Basically, they are Pains In The Neck!
Have less Upgrades and make them more meaningful & actually helpful when they do occur!! This has not been the case in recent upgrades.
There are more small yet meaningful "Glitches" than any benefits!
For instance, the most recent upgrade does not allow you to set 'In-House" Alpha or Room# listings. Once you go into an account the system loses your preferred listing criteria and you have to start over again in the "In-House" page. Is that an "Upgrade/Improvement?"

Guest Relations
Being able to type a soluation to a case. Example - having a phone conversation same times will fix a problem. And if you are sending an apologize letter you would be able to cut and paste it to the case. If the customer calls back all that information will be there for he GRrep to be able to assist the guest faster without having to wait on any additional information.

The ability to pay multiple invoice with a credit card. Also the ability to transfer rooms from a group master. The ability to use Direct Bill as a payment option for house accounts.

they next time choice wants to upgrade the soft ware, they should have actual desk people tell them what needs to be done. they make upgrades that are not helpful. You then call the help line to get put on hold so they can ask for help.

verifing dates

when a guest asks us to check a date and that date is not available, we have to go out and in again. there should be a way to see if another date is available without leaving that screen and coming back into it.

Online Reservations
When we recieve online reservastions, often times they do not include a guest's address or phone number. This adds to the amount of time they have to spend at check-in. Could we require online bookings to have this info?

show rates on future availability screen
It would be nice to see the rack rates when you view the future availability. Having to go in and start a reservation in order to enter rate codes to see the rate on certain room types is a waste of time.

there should be a way to apply group room rates to all room types at once for incoming groups instead of having to enter them all 1 at a time it's extremely tedious! or possibly having the rates copy over when you duplicate a master so it would illiminate the need to begin with.

ChoiceAdvantage Online Training Modules

I am in an area where internet will often times shut down due to weather. I am located on a peninsula. When the internet is down, I do not have access to CA and their training modules.. It would be easier to have the training modules ported to a CD/DVD ROM so that I can properly train my employees without having to worry about losing internet.

guarantee options
Front desk should be able to guarantee a reservation as a 4PM or 6PM for our regulars without guests being able to do the same online.

Ability to Over allocate a specific room type
Current you can allocate additional total room counts but not specific room types. So if we're set to over sell they can book a specialty room type instead of a "standard" or lowest tier room. It would be nice when overbooking that we could control the room types to over sell.

We shouldn't have to go to 5 different screens to make a reservation, check-in or checkout a guest. Going to 5 screens takes two much time. You should be able to checkin a guest less than 2 minute.

have a button for check-in after the reservations are no show or canceled. Currently, If a guest come in and has a no show or cancelled reservation you have to duplicate the reservation.

Option to answer no to overide a rate when changing a guest stay
If you are changing a guest stay and the rate was overided at check in and you extend them for one day. You have to answer yes to overide the rate. The front desk clerk then has to go back and change the rate back. It would be nice to have an option to answer no and the rate be left alone.

Address on Group Reservations

When a group sends a rooming list the quickest way to put the reservations into the system is to use the 'quick pickup'. When you use it the address does not follow into the reservations. Now that the address is required you must go into every reservation, and put in an address before you can assign a room. When using the 'quick pickup' the group address should be put into the address field on the individual reservations.
When a bus tour sends a rooming list there is NO WAY for us to know what each individual guests address is.

Meeting Rooms
Ability to control and book meeting space should be available in groups. Then show as a Special Arrival day before event to ensure set up. It should also be available to book directly through E-brochure. How much Revenue is lost due to convience issues with communication?
