We have several guests that come in every monday for a four-day stay, and they always like the same room. It would be nice to have a repeat feature for reservations so we can automate the process of entering recurring reservations of this type, similar to a calendar function where the entry can be repeated every week for the next "X" weeks. Currently to make these reservations through the end of the year I have to manually create a duplicate for each week. Multiply this times a few regular guests and it adds up to a lot of time spent duplicating the same information

This would be a nice time-saver especially during peak demand periods

I don't want anything popping up and changing the window of focus during a guest check-in.

or open another CA window one for the gst at the desk and one for the gst on the phone

I agree this would be very useful information as currently there is no way to efficiently track room changes. Additionally I would like to see an optional text field where the FDC can enter a specific reason for the move, and in most cases the room moved FROM should be out of order in most cases, not just marked as dirty. An option (checkbox?) to place the room out of order during a move action would also be convenient - thanks

We accomplish this by doign FIND RESERVATION then put in the room number - this returns a full history of who was in the room, not just the last person.

I like the idea of a back button after selecting report details. For example, If I need to print an in-house list by guest name, then another copy by room number, I don't want to have to select in-house list twice. The way it is now I can just change the sort criteria pull-down and click submit again, For our property this is convenient, but adding a "back to reports" button would be more useful than defaulting back to the reports menu automatically

I agree this would be a nice feature, however if it is implemented I think it would be critical to record the IP address to ensure the clock-in/out is from a workstation on site at the facility

Yes, you can accomplish the same functoinality using group blocking, but group blocking also means additional restrictions when manipulating the reservations that not all our users have permissions for. Additionally, the purpose of the suggestoin is to save time at the front desk. It's not feasible to set up a grooup master for each and every time we have a reservation with more than 9 rooms to book. Keystrokes=time=money. Allowing more than 9 from the normal create a reservation process would be a more streamlined process than creating a group master.
